Tax Deductible
Your donations are tax-deductible, providing you with a tangible benefit while supporting a cause that helps students broaden their cultural horizons within Montebello.
Why MASCA Matters
Across cultures, understanding doesn’t happen through headlines or policies. It happens through people. Through shared meals, unfamiliar routines, small misunderstandings, and moments of connection that slowly turn into trust.
For more than 60 years, the Montebello–Ashiya Sister City Association has created space for those moments. Through student exchange and community involvement, Montebello & Ashiya families open their homes, students step into lives different from their own, and relationships form that extend far beyond a single visit. These experiences are personal, lived, and lasting.
What begins as an exchange becomes perspective. Students gain confidence and curiosity. Families learn from one another. Volunteers and educators help sustain a program rooted in mutual respect and care. Together, these efforts strengthen the bonds between Montebello and Ashiya and remind us that lasting connection is built one relationship at a time.
